Mr. James Fort Daniel's Personal Recollections

I found these in my Grandmother's (Mrs. Mary E. Wyatt) library.  This is a first edition (1972) of "Recollections of Things Past" by Mr. James Fort Daniel.  Mr. Daniel was born Dec. 5th 1883 and died Dec. 27th 1975 at the age of 92.
These are his recollections of The Depot! He mentions  Mr. Lougee, the food in the dining room, and the McDermott family.

In the above section, Mr. Daniel also talks about the African American waiters who would sing to the diners in the grand dining room.

My family has misplaced the original photo but here is a copy of the waiters in the dining room.

I do have the original photo of these shoe shiners in front of The Depot.
